Salary: $45,000–$50,000 per year, depending on experience

Meat the Bun is looking for a reliable, experienced and hands-on Kitchen Supervisor / Lead Cook to join our team.

We are a fast-paced quick-service restaurant looking for someone who can work on the line while also taking responsibility for the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant standards

Lead kitchen operations during assigned shifts

Coordinate dine-in, takeout and delivery orders

Ensure consistent food quality, portion sizes and presentation

Monitor prep levels and ensure the kitchen is ready for service

Manage inventory and assist with ordering

Receive and properly store deliveries

Maintain proper food rotation and help control waste

Supervise and support kitchen staff

Train new kitchen team members

Maintain cleanliness and food-safety standards

Monitor ticket times and help keep service running efficiently

Communicate staffing, inventory and operational concerns to ownership

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience as a Kitchen Supervisor, Lead Cook, Kitchen Team Lead or similar role

Strong cooking and food-preparation skills

Experience in a fast-paced restaurant or QSR environment

Ability to lead and support a small kitchen team

Basic knowledge of inventory, ordering, portion control and food-cost management

Strong organization and communication skills





Ability to remain calm and organized during busy service periods

Reliable and comfortable taking responsibility for kitchen operations

Food Safety certification is an asset

Availability Requirements

Our operating hours are

Sunday–Thursday: 11:00 AM–9:00 PM

Friday–Saturday: 11:00 AM–10:00 PM

Applicants must have flexible availability during our operating hours, including evenings, weekends, opening and closing shifts as required.

Compensation

$45,000–$50,000 annual salary, depending on experience

Participation in the restaurant’s pooled tip program

Additional terms and conditions will be discussed during the hiring process

Work Authorization

Applicants must already be legally entitled to work in Canada through Canadian citizenship, permanent residency or a valid work permit.
