Horizon Maritime Services Ltd. is seeking Labourers to work in Newfoundland on a shoreside project on the West coast. Candidates must be willing to work remotely on a small fleet of vessels. PPE and work from home coordination will be handled by Horizon Maritime. This position is a 6-week fixed-length contract.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

- Clean up worksites
- Assist on-site deck hands
- Handle and transport materials
- Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Marine or shipyard experience considered an asset.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 40 pounds etc.)
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus
- Communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safety rules

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:

- Hourly wage $22-$22.91
- Health, Dental, short-term disability, accidental death and dismemberment, and life insurance upon hire
