Counsel, support research teams while providing strategic legal guidance in a full-time capacity. This permanent position operates from the Central Zone and requires a Bachelor of Law along with at least 8 years of relevant experience. Expertise in drafting complex agreements, particularly in intellectual property and data use, is essential. You will play a critical role in navigating multidimensional legal challenges while collaborating with Research Contracts teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice to senior leadership and research teams
- Draft and review agreements for IP and commercialization
- Analyze complex legal issues independently and collaboratively
- Support research contract negotiations and compliance
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on relevant legal practices Requirements:
- Bachelor of Law (LLB/JD) and Nova Scotia Barristers' Society membership
- Minimum of 8 years' relevant legal experience
- Expertise in commercial agreements and IP law
- Robust analytical and interpersonal skills
