Who you are
- We’re looking for someone who can take a customer or business problem, translate it into a strong lifecycle execution plan, and independently drive it from idea through measurement and optimization
- Strong hands-on experience with Iterable, Braze, Customer.io, Klaviyo, or a comparable multi-channel marketing platform; Iterable experience strongly preferred
- Strong lifecycle fundamentals across segmentation, personalization, behavioral triggers, journey design, suppression, cadence, and email/SMS/push execution
- A high test-and-learn bar and experience designing meaningful experiments
- Solid analytical instincts and comfort interpreting campaign and funnel performance
- Exceptional attention to detail across audiences, links, personalization, rendering, QA, and production readiness
- Comfort troubleshooting HTML and email-template issues
- Strong AI fluency and demonstrated use of AI in your day-to-day work
- The ability to take an ambiguous problem and independently turn it into an execution and testing plan
- Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Marketing Manager, Seller Engagement to run the day-to-day execution and optimization of Opendoor’s Seller lifecycle program across email, SMS, and push
- Lifecycle sets the broader engagement strategy. You’ll turn that strategy into programs in market — building audiences, journeys, campaigns, triggers, and experiments in Iterable; QAing what goes live; analyzing performance; and determining what to test next
- This is a highly hands-on role. AI is a baseline part of how we work and should be embedded throughout campaign development, QA, analysis, documentation, and experimentation
- Turn strategy into high-quality execution:
- Translate Lifecycle priorities into campaigns, journeys, audience logic, channel plans, and measurable customer experiences across email, SMS, and push
- Build a strong test-and-learn engine:
- Develop and manage a testing roadmap. Identify opportunities, form hypotheses, design experiments, and use the results to decide what to do next
- Testing should go beyond subject lines and creative. We want to understand who to contact, when, on which channel, with what message, and whether the intervention actually changed customer behavior
- Know what’s working — and what isn’t:
- Analyze campaign and funnel performance, spot patterns or anomalies, and turn data into clear recommendations
- You’ll partner with Analytics and Data Science when needed, but you should be comfortable investigating performance yourself and moving beyond opens and clicks to outcomes like assessments, offers, contracts, and reactivation
- Keep a complex lifecycle program running cleanly:
- Make sure the right customers enter the right journeys, suppressions work, triggers fire, personalization is accurate, links function, and customers aren’t receiving conflicting or excessive communication
- Strong attention to detail is critical. When something in the data or customer experience doesn’t look right,
we expect you to notice and investigate
- Get the most out of Iterable and AI:
- Be deeply hands-on in Iterable, building and troubleshooting campaigns, journeys, audiences, templates, triggers, and experiments
- Use AI as part of your everyday workflow to increase execution and testing velocity, improve QA and analysis, automate repetitive work, and raise the overall quality of the program
- What success looks like:
- Seller lifecycle campaigns and journeys launch reliably and at a high quality bar
- There is a clear, active testing roadmap and a steady pace of learning
- Decisions are grounded in customer behavior and incremental business impact, not channel metrics alone
- Issues in audiences, journeys, suppression, frequency, or execution are identified and resolved quickly
- Iterable is used as a sophisticated lifecycle engine, not simply an email deployment tool
- AI meaningfully improves the speed and quality of execution
- Lifecycle strategy is consistently translated into strong, measurable programs in market
