Pizza Pizza Cook – Job Duties

Position: Pizza Cook / Food Service Cook

Key Duties:

- Prepare pizzas, pizza toppings, sauces, and other menu items according to Pizza Pizza recipes and standards.
- Prepare and portion ingredients such as dough, cheese, vegetables, meats, and sauces.
- Operate ovens, food preparation equipment, and other kitchen appliances safely.
- Cook pizzas and other food items to the required temperature, quality, and presentation standards.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure consistent food quality.
- Assemble customer orders accurately and ensure all items are properly packaged.
- Follow food-safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of cooking equipment, preparation areas, counters, floors, and storage areas.
- Wash, cut, portion, label, and store food ingredients properly.
- Check food supplies and assist with receiving, storing, and rotating inventory.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out)



procedures and monitor food freshness and expiry dates.
- Minimize food waste and maintain proper portion control.
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties, including cleaning and restocking.
- Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining food quality and order accuracy.
- Communicate with front-counter staff and delivery/order staff regarding customer orders.
- Follow company policies and procedures and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Perform other kitchen and food-preparation duties as required by the manager.

Essential requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced setting, stand for extended periods, safely handle kitchen equipment, maintain food-safety standards, and work cooperatively with other staff. Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 14.0 – 40.0 per week
