Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Live-In Nanny / Housekeeper to provide exceptional care and household management within a warm, family-oriented environment. This role combines nurturing caregiving with efficient household responsibilities, ensuring a safe, organized, and joyful home for children and adults alike. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and passionate about creating a positive living space while supporting the family’s daily routines and needs.

Duties

Childcare

- Provide attentive, responsible and age-appropriate care for a 9-year-old child.
- Support the child's daily routines and activities.
- Assist with homework and school-related routines when needed.
- Prepare appropriate meals and snacks.
- Help maintain a safe, positive and structured home environment.
- Communicate appropriately with the parent regarding the child's schedule, activities and relevant concerns.

Household support
- Perform general household cleaning and organization.
- Maintain bedrooms, common areas, kitchen and other household spaces in a clean and organized condition.
- Complete laundry, folding and related household tasks.
- Prepare home-cooked meals for the household.
- Assist with meal planning.
- Help organize groceries and routine household supplies.
- Maintain appropriate cleanliness and organization of household areas.
- Perform other reasonable household duties related to the position.

Experience

- Previous experience as a nanny, caregiver,



housekeeper or in a comparable private-household role is preferred.
- Experience caring for school-aged children is an asset.
- Strong housekeeping, cleaning and organizational skills.
- Ability to prepare home-cooked meals.
- Ability to prepare Indian/South Asian-style meals is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, responsible and able to work independently.
- Good judgment and ability to manage day-to-day household priorities.
- Ability to provide satisfactory employment references.
- First Aid/CPR certification is preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Canadian work experience is not required.

Language: English sufficient to communicate effectively regarding childcare, household responsibilities and emergencies is required.

Hindi-language ability may be considered an asset only where it assists with genuine day-to-day household communication; it is not a mandatory requirment.
