School as a Long-Term Substitute English Teacher from January to March 2027. Lead students through engaging World Literature and AP courses while maintaining academic excellence. This substitute position encompasses teaching 12th Grade World Literature, including regular, honors, and AP Literature sections. You will facilitate discussions, guide literary analysis, and ensure students meet established expectations.
Your role will also involve supporting a mixed-grade Publications course while maintaining communication with the regular classroom teacher. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily discussions on assigned texts
- Assign and grade homework and classwork
- Maintain established classroom routines
- Support students in projects and publication deadlines
- Facilitate AP-level literary discussions Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
- Illinois Professional Educator License preferred
- Previous teaching experience is advantageous
- Knowledge of English literature and analysis
