Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and energetic Lot Attendant to join our dealership team. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the daily visual presentation, organization, and logistics of our vehicle inventory. You will work closely with both our sales and service departments to ensure vehicle staging, deliveries, and inventory movement run seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Lot Management:
- Organize, align, and park new, used, and customer vehicles across the dealership lot for optimal presentation and traffic flow.
- Park, stage, and track wholesale and trade-in units for auction, transport, or inspection.
- Ensure all inventory displays look pristine, clean, and properly labeled with window stickers, buyer's guides, and stock tags.
Vehicle Care & Preparation:
- Perform basic exterior washes and interior cleanups for delivery, test drives, or display.
- Monitor vehicle condition on the lot (checking battery status, tire pressure, fuel levels, and cleanliness).
- Safely move vehicles to and from the detail shop, service bays, or off-site storage lots.
Logistics & Dealership Support:
- Assist sales management with trade-in check-ins, key management, and inventory audits.
- Greet transport drivers and assist with unloading and inspecting incoming vehicle shipments.
- Retrieve and stage vehicles for customer appointments, test drives,
and scheduled deliveries.
Facilities Maintenance:
- Assist in maintaining a clean, secure, and welcoming dealership environment (e.g., keeping driveways clear, general lot debris pickup, winter snow clearing around vehicles).
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Licensing: Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (abstract check required).
- Skills: Ability to safely operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Physical Ability: Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions; ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
- Traits: Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and a team-player attitude.
- Experience: Previous experience as a lot attendant, detailer, or in automotive dealership operations is an asset, but willing to train the right candidate.
