Lot Coordinator (Tree Lot Seasonal Sales)

Job Summary: The Lot Coordinator is a seasonal leadership role responsible for the supervision, coordination, and operational management of Aunt Leah’s Independent Lifeskills Society’s 2026 Annual Christmas Tree Lot Fundraiser at one of two designated sites in Vancouver or Burnaby. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the efficiency, safety, and success of daily tree lot operations while also supporting sales and delivering a high standard of customer service.

Each Lot Coordinator is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of their assigned site and reports directly to the Tree lot manager. In the course of their duties, Lot Coordinators work in close communication with the Operations Coordinator to address logistical needs, supply restocking, and site maintenance issues. Core responsibilities include inventory management, financial tracking, volunteer supervision, and resolution of escalated customer concerns, including refunds and disputes.

The role demands strong leadership, initiative, and sound decision-making, along with the physical ability to perform outdoor work in all weather conditions.

Employment begins on November 16, 2026 with paid training provided, and concludes on December 22, 2026, or earlier if inventory is sold out. The position requires a commitment of 35- 37.5 hours per week, including evening and weekend availability. All tree lot locations are accessible by public transit.

This position is ideal for individuals with prior supervisory or shift-lead experience who are seeking short-term,



mission-driven employment in support of a high-impact community initiative during the holiday season.

Reports To: Tree Lot Manager

Compensation: $24.00/hr

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Undergo and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check
- Required to work outdoors in all weather conditions; waterproof clothing & footwear is required
- This position involves physical work moving objects weighing up to 50lbs
- Basic knowledge of working with tools – drills, hammers, loppers, saws
- A valid BC driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle

- Clean driver’s abstract

Assets:

- Valid First Aid Certification is an asset
- Non–profit experience, supervising volunteers and working with donors is an asset

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA):

- Experience in sales
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment

- Outstanding customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Minimum 2 years of management and supervision experience
- Physical ability to safely lift 50 lbs
- Ability to safely operate hand tools – electrical saws (training provided)




- A desire to contribute to Aunt Leah’s mission of preventing youth from foster care from

becoming homeless and vulnerable mothers from losing custody of their children

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Participating in site setup and take down
- Working closely with Operations Coordinator throughout season, ensuring timely garbage and green waste pick up, coordinating supply restock, managing site take down
- Overseeing site finances, including daily/weekly reports, end of day reconciliation, refunds and/or disputes
- Daily opening and closing of the tree lot
- Counting and tracking tree lot inventory
- Identifying and assessing customers needs to achieve satisfaction, providing product information
- Wrapping trees and tying trees to customers’ vehicles
- Supervising, orienting and training volunteers
- Supervising and handling point of sale register
- Managing and participating in the unloading of suppliers’ deliveries
- Ensuring tree lots are clean, safe, and secure according to Aunt Leah’s Health & Safety policies

Working Conditions:

- Candidates must be able to commit to 35- 37.5 hour per week and be available to work a variety of shifts including mornings and evenings between 9:30am to 7:30pm
- Candidates must have weekend availability
- Christmas Tree Lots locations are located in Vancouver and Burnaby
