Midas Newmarket is looking for a reliable and hardworking Lube & Tire Technician to join our team.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get into the automotive industry or gain more hands-on shop experience. The main responsibilities will be performing oil changes, seasonal tire swaps, tire services, and basic vehicle maintenance.
Previous shop experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person who is dependable, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced automotive shop.
Responsibilities
- Perform oil and filter changes
- Perform seasonal tire swaps and rotations
- Mount and balance tires
- Inspect tire condition and tread depth
- Check and adjust tire pressures
- Perform basic vehicle inspections
- Check and top up vehicle fluids
- Assist technicians and service advisors as required
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Safely operate hoists, tire machines, balancing equipment, and shop tools
- Follow all shop and workplace safety procedures
Qualifications
- Automotive or tire shop experience is an asset, but not required
- Experience performing oil changes and tire swaps is preferred
- Must be comfortable working in a rapid-paced environment
- Able to lift tires and perform physically demanding work
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Willing to learn and take direction
- Valid Ontario driver's licence preferred

Pay: $17.60-$22.00 per hour
