WORK ENVIRONMENT

- Shift rotation – 3 x 8.5 hour shifts/week
- Either 8.5 or 10-hour shifts
- Can be busy, high volume
- Manufacturing setting – indoors/climate controlled
- Working with and around lumber products
- Working with tools
- Physically demanding – lifting and stacking able to lift up to 70 lbs safely
- Standing for extended periods/repetitive hammering
- Operating a forklift

JOB TYPE Temporary, Employment – Short duration project that is expected to end by December 1, 2026. This could turn into full time if we stay busy during the winter.

THE HUSTLE ENVIRONMENT

- Sort and Stack Lumber: Accurately sort, organize and stack raw or cut lumber by size, length and grade
- Support Truss Builders:



Stage stacked lumber carts close to truss-building stations so operators have continuous access to materials.
- Handle Finished Trusses: Move, organize and stack prefabricated roof and floor trusses safely using manual methods
- Quality Control: Inspect lumber and finished components for visual defects, damage, warped boards
- Bundle and Band: Secure and band finished stacks of lumber or completed products using plastic/metal banding tools.
- Maintain Workplace Safety: Comply with all plant safety practices and procedures and wear required PPE.
- May se pneumatic tools
- Experienced Forklift Operator

Plus – may perform other responsibilities as assigned

WHAT WILL IMPRESS US

- High school diploma – preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a truss assembler or construction labourer
- Experience operating rough terrain forklift preferred and those with experience will be prioritized.
- Knowledge of woodworking/framing preferred/pneumatic tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self motivated
- General labour/tasks
