We are seeking a dependable and experienced Full Time Maintenance Person to join our Fredericton Inn Team. This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on, friendly, flexible, and comfortable performing a variety of general maintenance and construction-related tasks.

The successful candidate must be able to: work independently, follow instruction, operate maintenance equipment, respond to weather-related needs, and be flexible with scheduling as this a shift work position.

Responsibilities

- Perform general building and property maintenance
- Assist with various maintenance and construction projects
- Operate a tractor, snow blower, carpet cleaner, and other maintenance equipment
- Complete snow removal and other seasonal property maintenance
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team environment
- Respond to maintenance needs as required
- Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50+ lbs
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
- Troubleshoot and repair minor issues with equipment, fixtures, and appliances
- Assist with preventive maintenance schedules and record keeping
- Maintain tools, equipment, and supply inventory
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff
- Maintain heating, cooling, and ventilation systems in proper working order
- Move furniture, mattresses, supplies, and other items as required





Qualifications

- Previous maintenance and/or construction experience required
- Must be able to speak and understand English
- Bilingual English/French is an asset
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Valid driver’s licence required
- Steel toe shoes or boots are a must.
- Experience operating a small tractor and other maintenance equipment is an asset
- Ability to safely lift up to 50+ lbs
- Dependable and able to work independently
- Willing and able to work 40+ hours per week
- Shifts are: weekdays, weeknights, weekends and holidays
- Comfortable assisting with guest requests
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- References required

Compensation & Benefits

- Starting wage of $18.50
- Full-time employment
