JOB SUMMARY The Manufacturing Operations Coordinator serves as the key technical link between Design, Procurement, Project Management, Quality Control, and Manufacturing. The position is responsible for reviewing and coordinating design information, specifications, drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure information released for procurement and production is accurate, complete, coordinated, and suitable for manufacturing.

The role proactively identifies discrepancies, missing information, constructability concerns, and material requirements before they affect purchasing or production. The Coordinator also provides ongoing technical support to the manufacturing floor and ensures approved design changes are properly communicated and incorporated into production documentation.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, Specifications & Technical Review

· Review production and shop drawings for accuracy, completeness, coordination, and constructability before release to manufacturing.

· Verify drawings are consistent with approved architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and other applicable design information.

· Identify drawing discrepancies, conflicting details, missing information, and constructability concerns and coordinate resolution with Design.

· Ensure Production receives the latest approved drawings and revisions and superseded drawings are removed from active use.

· Coordinate with Design to resolve drawing discrepancies and technical questions identified during manufacturing.

· Review project specifications, drawings, schedules, and approved submittals to confirm material and product requirements.

· Cross-check specifications against drawings and BOMs to identify inconsistencies, omissions, or conflicting requirements.

· Verify specified materials, products, finishes, equipment, and assemblies are consistent with project requirements.

· Identify potential building code, certification,



or compliance concerns and coordinate resolution with Design, Engineering, or Quality Control.

BOM & Material Take-Off

· Review manufacturing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and material take-offs for completeness and accuracy before release to Procurement.

· Cross-reference BOM quantities and descriptions against drawings, specifications, schedules, and approved product information.

· Coordinate discrepancies between drawings, specifications, and BOMs with Design and Procurement before materials are ordered.

· Support the development and continuous improvement of standardized BOM and material take-off processes.

Procurement & Material Coordination

· Provide Procurement with the technical information and clarification required to purchase the correct materials.

· Review proposed material substitutions with Design and other applicable stakeholders before approval for use.

· Assist in identifying and resolving incorrect, damaged, substituted, or non-conforming materials with Procurement and Quality Control.

· Create and maintain site material BOMs and material take-offs for installation, connection, finishing, and other site activities within company scope.

Manufacturing Support

· Maintain a regular presence on the production floor to provide technical support and proactively identify design, material, and constructability issues.

· Act as a primary technical coordination point between Production and Design for questions arising during manufacturing.

· Verify Production is building to the latest approved drawings, specifications,



and revisions.

· Work with the Production Foreman and Lead Hands to resolve production obstacles related to drawings, specifications, BOMs, or materials.

· Support first-builds, prototypes, current assemblies, and implementation of new products, capturing lessons learned for future production.

· Coordinate approved design changes and ensure revisions are consistently reflected in drawings, BOMs, specifications, material requirements, and production information.

· Participate in the NCR process for design- and material-related non-conformances and coordinate corrective actions with Design, Procurement, Production, and Quality Control.

· Serve as the technical bridge between Design, Procurement, Manufacturing, Project Management, and Quality Control, proactively identifying and escalating issues that could result in rework, material shortages, cost impacts, or production delays.

· Attend production daily huddle on a weekly basis.

SKILLS

· ERP systems management, production scheduling software

· Document control systems

· Knowledge of modular industry/modular construction

· Experience with design revisions and change management

· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints

· Experience building, reviewing and verifying Bill of Materials (BOM)

· Understanding quality control processes

· Excellent communication and conflict management skills

· Excellent time management

· Attention to detail in a fast paced environment

· Manpower and team workflow management

QUALIFICATIONS

· Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered

· 8+ years experience in modular construction environment

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
