About the Role
Marketing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and expediting information and communication both internally and externally within the Resorts Group Sales Office. This role also supports the Director of Sales and Marketing with administrative, social media, and digital marketing tasks, ensuring the department operates efficiently and meets its goals. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of modern marketing tools and strategies.
What You’ll Do
- Answer inquiries, coordinate essential information, and delegate sales leads
appropriately.
- Assist walk-in clients with information and arrange for site inspections as required.
- Support in-house group clients with administrative tasks such as copying, faxing, and
computer-related needs, especially for VIPs.
- Compile monthly and other periodic reports as required.
- Maintain and update all department group and relevant files.
- Coordinate supply purchasing and track marketing/media expenses.
- Coordinate trade show registrations, booth supplies, and exhibits as required.
- Some stress resulting from the need to manage within legislative, budgetary, and time
constraints on a regular basis.
- Must be able to deal with problem solving situations and make judgment decisions.
- Must be able to deal with issues arising from guest complaints (internal and external) in
a timely manner using problem solving and de-escalating techniques.
- Assist with the creation, scheduling, and posting of engaging social media content
across platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn).
- Monitor social media engagement and respond to customer inquiries or comments in a
timely manner.
- Collaborate with the Director of Sales and Marketing to implement social media
campaigns that align with the resort’s sales goals.
- Update and maintain the resort's website with current and accurate information, ensuring
alignment with marketing strategies and promotional campaigns.
- Track performance metrics for social media and website traffic, providing reports to
measure campaign effectiveness.
- Create external promotional pieces
- Develop internal advertisement for video and print
- Create and deliver Data base promotions to specific audiences
- Audit comp set websites annually.
- Assist the Director of Sales and Marketing with ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Act as a backup for the Director of Sales and Marketing in communication with
customers, suppliers, and offsite Sales Managers.
- Other job-related duties may be assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma (Grade 12)
or equivalent; post-secondary education in marketing,
communications, or business administration is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with property management
systems (e.g., SMS) and sales/catering software (Salesforce/Delphi)
- Experience managing social media platforms and familiarity with tools like Canva,
Hootsuite, or Buffer is highly desirable.
- Basic knowledge of website content management systems (e.g., WordPress) is an
asset.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple
priorities effectively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact
professionally with clients, associates, and vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and work with discretion.
- Creative mindset and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Flexible to a changing schedule as required.
