Alpine Foot & Ankle Clinic is looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our busy and growing podiatry practice.

We are a fast paced specialty clinic providing comprehensive medical and surgical foot and ankle care. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with patients, communicates well, and can confidently manage multiple responsibilities in a busy clinical environment.

Responsibilities

- Greeting and checking patients in and out
- Answering and managing a high volume of phone calls
- Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments
- Managing referrals, faxes, emails, and incoming documentation
- Maintaining accurate electronic medical records
- Processing payments and providing receipts
- Communicating with patients, physicians, pharmacies, insurance providers, and other healthcare offices
- Preparing patient charts and assisting with general clinic flow
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and following clinic privacy policies
- General administrative and office duties as required
- Working collaboratively with physicians, clinical staff, and other administrative team members

Our clinic includes an on site private surgical suite. The successful candidate will also assist with the administrative and operational aspects of surgical and procedural care, including:
- Scheduling and coordinating in office surgical procedures
- Preparing surgical charts, consent forms, preoperative documentation, and required paperwork
- Providing patients with physician-approved preoperative and postoperative instructions
- Confirming surgical appointments and ensuring required documentation is completed prior to surgery
- Assisting with surgical-suite setup and turnover within the scope of training
- Cleaning and preparing procedure areas according to clinic protocols
- Assisting with stocking and maintaining surgical and procedure supplies




- Assisting with instrument processing and sterilization workflows in accordance with clinic protocols and applicable standards, where appropriately trained
- Maintaining surgical logs, documentation, and other required records
- Coordinating postoperative appointments and follow-up care
- Communicating with patients regarding scheduling and administrative questions before and after surgery
- Supporting the surgical team to ensure efficient patient flow on procedure and surgical days

Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is strongly preferred
- MOA certificate or equivalent education is an asset
- Strong computer and typing skills with experience using electronic medical records
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional and friendly telephone manner
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Comfortable learning new systems and taking initiative
- Strong customer service skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude

Experience in a specialist, surgical, podiatry, orthopedic, or similarly busy medical practice is considered an asset.

Position

Full-time Medical Office Assistant

Monday to Friday

Competitive compensation based on experience.
