Position Summary

Reporting to the Engineering Director or Engineering Manager, the Methods & Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and improving manufacturing processes that support Tube-Fab's production operations, quality objectives, and growth strategy.

The successful candidate will lead process improvement initiatives, develop manufacturing methods, support customer programs, and provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Interpret and analyze engineering drawings, specifications, models, and customer requirements.
- Develop manufacturing methods for tube bending, welding, fabrication, forming, and assembly operations.
- Review customer engineering packages and support quotation activities.
- Lead contract review activities for new programs and engineering changes.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, work instructions, routings, and process maps.
- Conduct capacity planning, workflow optimization, and productivity improvement projects.
- Perform time studies and manufacturing efficiency analysis.
- Lead FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective Action initiatives.
- Design and implement tooling, fixtures,



and manufacturing aids.
- Serve as a technical interface between customers and internal departments.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, 5S, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Research and implement new manufacturing technologies, automation opportunities, and process improvements.
- Analyze manufacturing performance metrics and identify cost reduction opportunities.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and provide technical guidance.
- Support AS9100, Nadcap, and customer quality requirements.

Qualifications

Required

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
- 3-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
- Robust knowledge of fabrication, welding, tube bending, forming, and assembly processes.
- Strong understanding of GD&T; and engineering drawings.
- Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
- Experience leading process improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and project management skills.

Preferred

- Aerospace manufacturing experience.
- Experience working within AS9100 and/or Nadcap environments.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma training.
- Knowledge of JobBoss or other manufacturing ERP systems.
- Experience with automation and advanced manufacturing technologies.
