Education: Completion of high school.

Credentials: (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.) 1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year IMM, industrial millwright apprentice

Experience: 1-5+ years.

Major Work Area: Maintenance Service, Repair, Overhaul.

Area of Specialization: Start-up and testing on industrial Fans and blowers, Rigging, machinery moving, Bearing installs, Vibration analysis, Laser aligning.

Type of Industry/Work Setting: We service the following industries - Manufacturing, Food and beverage processing, Rubber and plastics industry, Automotive assembly, Brewery, Office buildings, Shopping centers, Cement plant, Energy and waste facility, Recycling industry, Pharmaceuticals industry, Sewage treatment plant, Water treatment plant.

Type of Machinery or Equipment: Industrial Fans, blowers, pumps and motors.

Welding Techniques: Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) (MIG) Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW).

Specific Skills:



Repair or replace defective parts such as bearings/shafts/seals/sheaves and motors, Perform preventative maintenance at customer sites and take vibration readings off rotating equipment, laser align couplings/belts.

Own Tools/Equipment Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles, welding helmet.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Handling heavy loads at times.

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence and a drivers abstract (MVR)

Essential Skills: Reading text, Writing, Communication, Working with others, Continuous learning.
