Role Description This full-time remote Mortgage Agent role involves advising clients on mortgage options that align with their financial and homeownership objectives, including purchases, refinances, renewals, and debt consolidation solutions.
The Mortgage
Agent will assess client needs, gather and analyze financial information, and match clients with suitable lenders and products. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing client communications, preparing and submitting mortgage applications, following up on documentation, and ensuring a smooth approval and closing process. The role also includes cultivating referral relationships, engaging in mortgage marketing activities,
and staying current with market conditions, regulatory requirements, and lending guidelines.
The Mortgage
Agent will collaborate closely with the brokerage’s leadership and team to leverage coaching, tools, and best practices for business growth.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of the mortgage industry, including current market trends, regulatory setting, and lender products.
- Experience with mortgages and mortgage lending, including structuring deals, assessing borrower profiles, and guiding clients through approval and closing.
- Understanding of mortgage servicing and ongoing client support, including renewals, refinances, and portfolio management.
- Ability to engage in mortgage marketing activities, build referral networks, and develop a personal client base.
- Valid mortgage agent or broker license in Ontario (or eligibility to obtain), and familiarity with FSRA regulations.
- Strong analytical, numeracy, and financial assessment skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex mortgage concepts in clear, accessible terms.
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and handle multiple client files concurrently.
- Comfort with digital tools and CRM systems for managing leads, applications, and client communications.
- Prior sales or client advisory experience in financial services or real estate is an asset.
