DESCRIPTION

Personne qui évalue les habiletés fonctionnelles, détermine et met en œuvre un plan de traitement et d'intervention, développe, restaure ou maintient les aptitudes, compense les incapacités, diminue les situations de handicap et adapte l'environnement dans le but de favoriser une autonomie optimale ; participe à l’enseignement clinique.

Outre les exigences cliniques, la personne pourrait être appelé à participer à des projets régionaux.

EXIGENCES

Formation

- Doit détenir une maîtrise en ergothérapie;
- Membre de l’Ordre des ergothérapeutes du Québec (OEQ).

Expérience

- Deux (2) ans d’expérience clinique en tant qu'ergothérapeute dans divers domaines et programmes ;
- Expérience des interventions communautaires et de la coordination des plans de services est un atout ;
- Expérience de travail avec des individus, des familles et des organismes communautaires ;
- Expérience en milieu autochtone est un atout.

Connaissances et aptitudes

- Avoir de bonnes capacités à s’adapter et être flexible aux changements dans un contexte de soins cliniques ;
- Être capable de collaborer avec les membres de l'équipe et avoir de bonnes habiletés de communication, tant à l'oral qu'à l'écrit ;
- Intégrer la sécurité culturelle dans la pratique, le coaching et le transfert d’apprentissages ;
- Capacité d'intégrer la culture, les valeurs, les traditions et les enseignements Eeyou Istchee dans les programmes et services lorsque cela est possible ;
- Connaissance des normes professionnelles, des lignes directrices sur la pratique clinique et de la législation ;
- Bonne compréhension des problèmes de santé en ce qui a trait à la réadaptation fonctionnelle ;
- Excellentes compétences en recherche et capacité à appliquer la pratique fondée sur des données probantes aux situations cliniques dans un contexte autochtone ;
- Autonomie, discrétion, empathie.

LANGUE

- Maîtrise de l’anglais;




- Maîtrise de la langue crie et/ou du français sont un atout.

Renseignements supplémentaires

- Doit détenir un permis de conduire valide;
- Doit avoir un véhicule (un atout).

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION

Person who assesses the functional abilities of a service user, determines and implements a treatment and intervention plan, develops, restores or maintains abilities, finds ways to compensate for incapacities and attenuate situations of impairment, and adapts the environment in order to promote optimal autonomy. She/he participates in clinical instruction.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS In addition to clinical requirements, the individual may be called upon to participate in regional projects.

REQUIREMENTS

Education

- Must hold a master's degree in occupational therapy;
- Member of the Ordre des ergothérapeutes du Québec (OEQ).

Experience

- Two (2) years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist in various fields and programs;
- Experience in community interventions and coordination of service plans is an asset;
- Experience working with individuals, families and community organizations;
- Experience in an indigenous environment is an asset.

Knowledge and abilities

- Ability to adapt and be flexible to change in a clinical setting;
- Ability to collaborate with team members and positive communication skills, both oral and written;
- Integrate cultural safety into practice, coaching and transfer of learning;
- Ability to integrate Eeyou Istchee culture, values, traditions and teachings into programs and services whenever possible;
- Knowledge of professional standards, clinical practice guidelines and legislation;
- Good understanding of health issues as they relate to functional rehabilitation;
- Excellent research skills and ability to apply evidence-based practice to clinical situations in an Aboriginal context;
- Autonomy, discretion and empathy.

LANGUAGE

- Fluent in English;
- Fluency in Cree or French is an asset.

Additional information

- Must have a valid driver's license;
- Must have a vehicle (an asset).
