OpenText Identity Manager (IDM) Consultant

Contract | Remote with Occasional Onsite Travel | Ottawa, ON

Our client is seeking an experienced OpenText Identity Manager (formerly NetIQ IDM) Consultant to support the administration, configuration, and enhancement of their enterprise identity and access management environment.

Working as part of a specialized IAM team, you will deliver task-based administration and configuration services across the OpenText Identity Manager platform, supporting user provisioning, access management, authentication, and identity lifecycle processes.

Responsibilities

- Administer, configure, and support OpenText / NetIQ Identity Manager (IDM)
- Implement and maintain identity provisioning and access management workflows
- Troubleshoot IDM-related issues and perform root cause analysis
- Support integrations with Active Directory, Entra ID, HR systems, and business applications
- Configure and maintain drivers, policies, workflows, and identity synchronization processes
- Collaborate with technical teams to support IAM initiatives and operational requirements
- Create and maintain technical documentation and configuration standards

Requirements





- Hands-on experience with OpenText Identity Manager (IDM) / NetIQ IDM
- Experience configuring and administering enterprise IAM solutions
- Strong understanding of:
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- User provisioning and deprovisioning
- Role-based access control (RBAC)
- Directory services (Active Directory / LDAP)
- Authentication and access management concepts
- Experience troubleshooting complex identity management environments
- Solid communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have

- Experience with OpenText / NetIQ Advanced Authentication (AA)
- Exposure to Entra ID (Azure AD), SSO, MFA, and authentication technologies
- Experience in large enterprise or public sector environments
- Knowledge of identity governance and compliance requirements
