Position: Operations Administrator, Part-Time, Fully Remote
Wage: $19-$22 per hour based on experience (plus 6% vacation pay)
Schedule: Part-time flexible hours, with some evening and weekend availability required (~20 hours per week)
About Torq Transloading
Torq Transloading Inc. operates a crude oil truck-to-rail transloading terminal in Unity, Saskatchewan. We are looking for a reliable and organized Part-Time Operations Administrator or to provide administrative support to our operations team.
This is a remote position, with work completed from home. The successful candidate will work closely with the terminal and administrative team and must be comfortable working independently while maintaining clear communication with the team.
Position Summary The Operations Administrator provides day-to-day administrative support to the Unity terminal, helping ensure information, records and administrative processes are accurate, organized and completed on time.
This role is well suited to someone who is dependable, detail-oriented and comfortable managing a variety of administrative tasks independently. Responsibilities will include data entry, document management, reporting, correspondence and general administrative support, along with some invoicing and payroll-related administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Unity terminal and operations team
- Complete accurate and timely data entry
- Maintain electronic files, records and operational documentation
- Prepare and update reports, spreadsheets and other documents
- Enter and maintain information in Microsoft Excel and other company systems
- Monitor and respond to emails and administrative requests
- Communicate with employees, customers, vendors and other contacts as required
- Assist with scheduling and coordination of administrative activities
- Follow up on outstanding information, documentation and approvals
- Assist with invoicing and basic accounting administration
- Provide administrative support for payroll processes, including gathering and entering required information
- Maintain confidentiality of company, customer and employee information
- Provide other administrative support as required
Qualifications and Skills
- Approximately 1 year of administrative experience preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Robust written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets, electronic files, and computer systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable and dependable
- Professional and courteous communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work and takes pride in keeping things organized and accurate. You should be comfortable working independently from home while remaining responsive and connected to a busy operations team.
Because our terminal operates outside traditional office hours, some flexibility is important. There may be occasions when administrative support is required during evenings or weekends.
Work Environment
This is a part-time remote position supporting Torq Transloading's Unity, Saskatchewan operation. Because the terminal operates outside of regular office hours, the position may require some evening and weekend work from home. The successful candidate will be provided with a work laptop, but must have an internet connection and be comfortable communicating with the operations team remotely.
