Yard Envy is a growing property maintenance and landscaping company looking for dependable, capable people to join our team in Saskatoon.

Our work changes with the season. You may be mowing lawns, trimming trees, fertilizing, laying sod, shovelling rock, digging weeds, building fences, washing windows, towing trailers, completing landscaping projects or clearing residential snow.

Yes — that means you may be outside shovelling snow this winter.

Experience Matters — But Team Fit Matters Just as Much

If you have extensive landscaping, property maintenance, construction, equipment, mechanical or leadership experience, we want to hear from you.

But experience alone is not enough.

Whether you are highly experienced or brand new to the workforce, how well you fit with the existing team matters a great deal.

Pay and Opportunity

Starting wage for someone with no experience: $16.00/hour.

Pay increases from there based on:

- Performance

- Experience

Regardless of your starting experience level, the more value you demonstrate, the faster your rate of pay can increase. Year-round work may be available for the right people.

Requirements

You must

- Have a valid Saskatchewan driver's licence
- Have a clean driving record
- Follow all rules of the road when driving company vehicles
- Be dependable and trustworthy
- Respond promptly to calls, texts and work-related messages
- Have a working mobile phone
- Have an active email address that you actually check
- Have reliable transportation to our starting location
- Be able to provide a criminal record check if requested
- Be willing to undergo drug testing if requested and legally appropriate
- Be physically capable of outdoor work
- Be available when weather requires us to work

Once the workday begins, we generally use company vehicles.

Snow Clearing Requires Reliability

We are not looking for occasional one-day workers.

We are looking for people willing to commit for the winter season and potentially much longer.

School, athletics or another job are not necessarily a problem, but you still need to be available when you say you are available.





Snow does not care about anyone's schedule.

When a snowfall ends, our customers expect us to get to work. Your coworkers are also depending on you to show up and carry your share of the workload.

Last-minute cancellations create problems for everyone else.

This Probably Is Not the Right Fit If:

- You regularly ignore calls or text messages
- You frequently cancel at the last minute
- You have a history of not showing up for scheduled work
- You are constantly on your phone while others are working
- You move slowly while everyone else carries the workload
- You are difficult, negative or unpleasant to work with
- Problems in the rest of your life routinely prevent you from meeting your work commitments
- You are simply looking for a short-term stepping stone until something else comes along

Nobody here is expected to be perfect. We do expect people to take responsibility, communicate properly and make a genuine effort to solve problems instead of creating them for everyone else.

A useful question is

Would you want to spend a long workday beside someone who was unreliable, difficult to work with, constantly on their phone and regularly left you to pick up their share of the work?

Neither do we.
