About Us

At Best Brains Learning Center – Oakville (Glenorchy), we provide comprehensive enrichment programs in Math, English, Coding, Abacus, and exam preparation for students aged 3 to 14. We foster an engaging, interactive, and supportive environment where children build confidence, critical thinking, and a lifelong love for learning.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Part-Time Coding Teacher to introduce young learners to foundational and intermediate computer science concepts using an engaging, project-based curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

- Instruction: Teach structured coding modules (such as Scratch, Python, HTML/CSS, and Web Development) to elementary and middle school students in small group settings.
- Student Engagement: Guide students through hands-on logic puzzles, game creation, and coding projects, making complex concepts easy to understand and fun to learn.
- Progress Tracking: Assess student progress, offer constructive feedback, and communicate milestones with parents and center management.
- Classroom Management: Maintain an organized, positive, and structured environment where students remain focused and excited about coding.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Strong proficiency in introductory block-based programming (Scratch) and text-based languages (Python,



HTML/CSS, JavaScript).
- Experience teaching, tutoring, or mentoring children (elementary/middle school age).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Background or current studies in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Education, or a related field.
- Passionate about technology, problem-solving, and inspiring young minds.
- Must pass a background check / Vulnerable Sector Screening.

Work Schedule

- Hours: 4 to 11 hours per week (Flexible depending on class scheduling).
- Availability: Weekday evenings (4:30 PM – 7:30 PM) and/or Saturday mornings/afternoons.
