Part-Time Counter Person - Skintricate Tattoo Company

Skintricate Tattoo Company is looking for a reliable, friendly and organized part-time counter person to join our team.

This is a front-facing role in a busy tattoo and piercing shop, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable talking to people, can stay organized when things get busy, takes direction well, and can confidently follow established shop procedures.

The regular schedule is set, but some flexibility to cover or exchange shifts and occasional availability for events outside of these hours may be required:

- Tuesdays: 10:30am - 8:30pm
- Wednesdays: 10:30am - 8:30pm
- Sundays: 10:30am - 6:30pm
- Approximately 28 hours per week

Starting Wage: $17.60/hour

Start Date: Immediately

What You'll Be Doing

- Greeting clients and helping create a welcoming environment
- Answering phone calls and in-person questions
- Directing tattoo and piercing inquiries to the appropriate team member
- Booking and managing appointments
- Processing cash, debit, credit card and gift certificate payments
- Operating our POS and booking systems
- Completing opening and closing procedures and set weekly tasks
- Keeping the front desk, retail area and shop areas clean and organized
- Restocking merchandise and supplies
- Assisting with merchandise purchases, returns and exchanges
- Communicating client concerns or issues to management
- Completing basic administrative and data-entry tasks
- Helping the team with day-to-day shop tasks as needed

Experience in customer service, reception, retail or a similar front-facing role is an asset. You do not need tattoo or piercing experience, but you should be comfortable working in a tattoo and piercing environment and interested in learning how our shop operates.

Applicants who currently perform tattoos or piercings outside of a professional studio environment should not apply. Tattooing or piercing at home, including casually tattooing or piercing friends, is not compatible with employment at Skintricate.
