Budget Blinds of Sherwood Park is looking for a Part-Time Window Covering Installer to join our team 1–3 weekdays per week.

You do not need to have installed blinds before, and you don't need to come from the trades. We can teach you our products and installation methods.

Some of the skills we're looking for might have come from renovating your own home, painting, restoring furniture, woodworking, DIY projects, maintenance or being the person everyone calls when something needs fixing.

You might be a great fit if you:

- Are naturally handy and genuinely enjoy working with your hands
- Love troubleshooting and figuring out how things work
- Take responsibility for your work, including when something doesn't go as planned, because you know there's usually a solution
- Are careful, patient and attentive to details
- Can slow down, listen and follow instructions
- Have great listening skills and are open to other people's ideas and solutions
- Are comfortable talking with clients and listening to their concerns
- Take pride in leaving someone's home as clean and cared for as you found it
- Enjoy painting, woodworking, renovations, restoration, finishing work or DIY projects




- Are physically capable of active, hands-on work throughout the day
- Are comfortable working at heights and using ladders safely
- Are comfortable lifting, carrying, reaching and working overhead

- Want responsibility and enjoy becoming really good at what you do

What does the job actually look like? You'll work in beautiful homes throughout Sherwood Park and the surrounding area installing custom blinds, shades, shutters, drapery hardware and motorized window coverings.

If you like working with your hands but don't necessarily love dirty construction sites, this might be your kind of trade.

Most of our work happens inside finished homes. We're careful, clean and respectful because our clients are trusting us with their space.

It is an active job. You'll be on your feet, carrying products and tools, climbing ladders, reaching overhead and sometimes working at heights in homes with tall windows and high ceilings. You need to be comfortable and confident doing this safely.

Some installations are easy.

Others are a puzzle.

Walls aren't always straight. Windows aren't always square. And occasionally something doesn't work the way you expected it to.

That's where we need you to shine.

Schedule

Approximately 1–3 weekdays per week

Hours will vary depending on our installation schedule, so this position is best suited to someone with some flexibility during the week.
