Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals living at home, as well as clients in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and hospice care environments. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the well-being and independence of clients through personalized support and caregiving. This role requires travelling between locations so reliable means of transportation is a must.

Duties

- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Support with meal preparation and feeding as needed, ensuring nutritional requirements are met
- Help clients with household tasks such as cleaning and organizing to maintain a safe living environment
- Offer companionship and emotional support to seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those receiving hospice care
- Assist with mobility and transfer tasks, including heavy lifting when necessary, using proper techniques for safety
- Document care provided accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare teams or family members




- Follow care plans tailored to individual needs

Requirements

- Must have a valid Personal Support Worker certificate or equivalent
- Must have reliable means of transportation
- Experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or home care
- Knowledge of patient care practices, dementia care, hospice support, or working with people with disabilities
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility tasks
- Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to handle medication administration accurately following protocols
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; a commitment to providing consistent support is essential
- Must be reliable, compassionate, and dedicated to improving the quality of life for clients

We have clients located in Orangeville, Caledon, and New Tecumseth. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.50-$23.00 per hour
