About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative Pharmaceutical Formulation Scientist to join their dynamic research and development team in East London . This role is pivotal in designing and developing stable, effective, and patient-friendly drug formulations. You will leverage your expertise in pharmaceutics to create dosage forms ranging from oral solids to injectables, ensuring optimal drug delivery and bioavailability. Working in a well-equipped laboratory, you will collaborate with chemists, analysts, and project managers to advance drug candidates from early development through to commercialization, contributing significantly to the company's pipeline and patient well-being.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop various pharmaceutical dosage forms (e.g., tablets, capsules, injectables, topical).
- Conduct pre-formulation studies, including solubility, stability, and compatibility assessments.
- Optimize formulations for improved drug delivery, bioavailability, and patient compliance.
- Perform characterization of drug substances and excipients.
- Develop and validate analytical methods for formulation testing.




- Prepare technical reports, documentation for regulatory submissions, and present findings.

Requirements

- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical formulation development.
- Proven expertise in various dosage form development and manufacturing techniques.
- Strong understanding of drug delivery systems, pharmacokinetics, and biopharmaceutics.
- Proficiency in analytical techniques relevant to formulation characterization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-based research environment in East London .
