Job Title: Phone & Computer Repair Technician / Store Operator
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Phone & Computer Repair Technician who has experience in advanced mobile and computer repairs, including motherboard-level diagnostics and microsoldering. The ideal candidate will also assist with daily store operations, customer service, package processing, and Rogers/Fido mobile sales.
This position requires both strong technical skills and the ability to manage daily store responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Phone & Computer Repairs
- Diagnose and repair smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers.
- Perform motherboard-level repairs, including microsoldering and component replacement.
- Troubleshoot charging issues, display problems, water damage, and other hardware-related faults.
- Perform board-level diagnostics and identify faulty components.
- Handle screen replacements, battery replacements, charging port repairs, and other common repairs.
- Ensure all repairs meet quality standards and are completed efficiently.
2. Store Operations & Management
- Assist with daily store opening, closing, and general operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and skilled store environment.
- Manage repair orders, customer records, and inventory.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and follow-ups.
- Ensure smooth daily operations when the owner is not present.
3. Customer Service & Package Processing
- Assist customers with packaging and shipping preparation.
- Process FedEx, DHL, and Purolator packages accurately.
- Handle package drop-offs and pickups according to company procedures.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service.
4. Rogers & Fido Mobile Sales
- Assist customers with Rogers and Fido mobile plans, upgrades, and new activations.
- Explain available promotions, plans, and device financing options.
- Help customers choose suitable mobile services.
- Support sales targets and promotional activities.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in smartphone and computer repairs.
- Strong knowledge of motherboard-level troubleshooting and microsoldering.
- Experience with soldering equipment, hot air stations, and board-level repair tools.
- Ability to diagnose complex hardware issues independently.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and handle different store responsibilities.
- Sales experience is an asset.
- Reliable, responsible, and self-motivated.
Preferred Skills
- Experience repairing iPhones, Samsung, Google Pixel, and other smartphones.
- Experience with laptop motherboard repairs.
- Knowledge of data recovery and advanced diagnostics.
- Previous experience working in a mobile phone repair or retail store.
- Familiarity with Rogers/Fido products and activations is an asset.

We are looking for someone who is not only a technician but also capable of taking responsibility for the overall daily operation of the store. Pay: $17.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
