ActiveCare Physiotherapy & Rehab is growing, and we are looking for an experienced, motivated, and patient-focused Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Physiotherapy Background is Required
We are specifically looking for candidates with education or previous experience in physiotherapy, rehabilitation, or a closely related field.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will work closely with our Physiotherapists and play an important role in our patients' rehabilitation journey.
Your responsibilities will include
- Assisting Physiotherapists with patient treatment and rehabilitation programs
- Guiding patients through prescribed therapeutic exercises
- Supervising exercise and rehabilitation programs under the direction of a Physiotherapist
- Setting up treatment areas and preparing patients for treatment
- Assisting with therapeutic modalities as directed by the treating Physiotherapist
- Monitoring patients during exercises and communicating relevant observations to the Physiotherapist
- Cleaning and preparing treatment equipment and clinical areas
- Supporting an efficient flow of patients throughout the clinic
- Providing a welcoming, professional, and positive patient experience
- Assisting the clinical team with other duties as required
What We're Looking For The successful candidate will have:
- A physiotherapy or rehabilitation background
- Previous experience in a physiotherapy or rehabilitation setting strongly preferred
- Good understanding of therapeutic exercises and basic rehabilitation principles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence working directly with patients
- A professional and compassionate approach to patient care
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to multitask in a busy clinical environment
- Ability to take direction from Physiotherapists and work collaboratively with the clinical team
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
