Step into a agile role as a Plastic Surgeon locum at the University of British Columbia starting January 2027. Engage in a routine of breast reconstruction and general reconstructive surgery while contributing to a collaborative team. This one-year locum position offers a unique opportunity for a skilled Plastic Surgeon to join a busy practice focused on breast and general reconstructive procedures.
Ideal for recently fellowship-trained reconstructive microsurgeons, this role involves immediate and delayed breast reconstructions, trauma care, and shared call coverage. You will gain valuable exposure within an academic setting while partnering with a dedicated surgical team. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform immediate and delayed breast reconstructions
- Conduct general reconstructive surgery and trauma care
- Participate in lymphatic reconstruction projects
- Handle shared plastic surgery call responsibilities
- Collaborate with a high-volume surgical team Requirements:
- Certification in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
- Eligible for licensure in British Columbia
- Fellowship training in microsurgery preferred
- Experience in breast reconstruction strongly desired
