Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Polisher to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing the surface quality of metal and other materials through precise polishing techniques. Your expertise will ensure that finished products meet strict quality standards, exhibit a flawless appearance, and are prepped accordingly for packaging / shipping.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and contribute to the creation of high-quality components in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Candidate must understand and speak fluent English and write legibly for documentation purposes.

Duties

- Operate polishing equipment to include Machine Lathes and high speed Belt polishers and hand tools to achieve smooth, polished surfaces on various materials, including metals and Carbide Coatings
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files to understand specifications and surface finish requirement
- Conduct quality control inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure adherence to specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper packaging of finished products for shipment or assembly
- Collaborate with machining and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless production flow
- Utilize hand tools and basic math skills for precise adjustments and measurements during polishing tasks




- Operate forklifts safely within warehouse environments to transport materials as needed
- Follow safety protocols related to machinery operation, welding procedures, and warehouse safety standards

Experience

- Proven experience in manufacturing or machining environments with a focus on polishing or surface finishing is a preferred asset
- Familiarity with Basic Machine Lathes is an asset
- Robust knowledge of blueprint reading, mechanical principles, and quality control procedures is an asset
- Ability to operate hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement instruments
- Warehouse experience including forklift operation is desirable
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during finishing processes. Example: Micrometers, Depth gauges & Dial indicators
- Knowledge of manufacturing standards related to machining, assembly, and packaging processes is an asset
