Prep Cook / Line Cook – Chinese Seafood Restaurant

Location: Richmond, BC

Job Type: Full-time / Part-time

Pay: $19–$24/hour + Tips, depending on experience THE FISH MAN is a busy Chinese seafood restaurant in Richmond specializing in live seafood, wok cooking, BBQ, and traditional Chinese dishes.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Prep Cook / Line Cook to join our kitchen team.

Responsibilities

- Prepare vegetables, seafood, meat, sauces, and other ingredients for daily service
- Portion and organize ingredients according to kitchen standards
- Assist with line cooking and plating during service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked workstation
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures
- Receive and properly store kitchen supplies and ingredients
- Work efficiently with the kitchen team during high-volume service
- Assist with general kitchen duties as needed

Requirements

- Previous restaurant kitchen experience preferred
- Experience in a high-volume restaurant is an asset
- Basic knife skills and food preparation knowledge




- Able to work quickly and stay organized during busy service
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a team
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies when required
- FoodSafe certification is an asset
- Experience with Chinese or Asian cuisine is an asset
