My daughter is in grade 6 and wants to try out for her school volleyball team in January 2027. She is keen and athletic but new to volleyball, and I am looking for a patient coach to work with her one on one once a week through November and December so she walks into tryouts ready.

You do not need to be a professional. A strong high school, college or club player who knows the fundamentals and can teach them to an 11 year old is exactly what I am looking for.

What the sessions would cover:

- Serving, underhand first and then overhand
- Passing (forearm pass / bump) and platform control
- Setting (overhead pass)
- Ready position, footwork and moving to the ball
- The kinds of drills coaches run at school tryouts, so they feel familiar
- Simple drills she can practise at home between sessions

What I am looking for:
- Played volleyball at the high school, club or college level, or have coached youth players
- Patient, encouraging and reliable, and on time every week




- Able to plan each session and give a short note on what to practise next
- A reference, such as a current or former coach or teacher

How it works

- I book and pay for the court; you bring your skills (and a ball or two if you have them)
- You are paid $25.00 per hour, which is $25.00 per session, after each session by e-transfer
- You provide a easy receipt for each session showing the date, the length and the amount paid. I will give you a template if that helps To apply, please tell me:
