Job Summary

Totally Raw Natural Dog Food is looking for a dependable and hands-on Production Lead Hand to support our production team. This position is responsible for helping coordinate the day-to-day production activities, ensuring employees stay on task, maintaining product quality and safety standards, and communicating production concerns to management.

The Lead Hand is a working position and will be actively involved in production while providing direction and support to other employees. You’ll be a key player in maintaining high-quality standards, supporting process improvements, and fostering a cooperative work environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about manufacturing, and is eager to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

- Assist with coordinating daily production activities and ensuring production schedules are followed.
- Provide direction and support to production employees throughout the day.
- Help ensure employees are following company procedures, SOPs, and food-safety requirements.
- Monitor product quality and report any concerns to management.
- Help organize employees and workflow to keep production running efficiently.




- Assist with training new employees and ensuring employees understand proper procedures.
- Monitor production areas for cleanliness, organization, and safety.
- Identify equipment, product, or production issues and communicate them to management promptly.
- Help ensure production areas are properly cleaned and maintained.
- Assist with inventory and production preparation as required.
- Lead by example with attendance, punctuality, work ethic, communication, and workplace conduct.
- Work alongside the production team and assist with all regular production duties as required.
- Monitor manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks and develop solutions to optimize workflow.
- Ensure compliance with quality control procedures and maintain accurate documentation of production activities.
- Perform other duties related to production and operations as assigned.
