Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain supply and inventory planning parameters to achieve service-level targets while optimizing inventory.
- Support SIOP and Master Production Schedule (MPS) activities.
- Maintain accurate planning data including lead times, quantities, and inventory/stock policies.
- Manage material requirements using MRP, Kanban, and other replenishment methods.
- Ensure availability of raw materials, components, and subassemblies to support production requirements.
- Create, monitor, and reschedule manufacturing and purchase orders based on changing requirements.
- Manage backorders, material shortages, and replenishment priorities to minimize production disruptions.
- Participate in daily Short Interval Management (SIM) and manufacturing operations meetings.
- Identify planning or material-flow constraints and coordinate corrective actions.
- Partner with manufacturing, engineering, procurement, and supply chain teams to improve material flow and availability.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory, planning, and production performance.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of supply chain, material planning, or production planning experience within a manufacturing environment.
- College diploma or related education in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related discipline is an asset.
- Hands-on knowledge of MRP, MPS, inventory management, replenishment, production planning, and shortage management.
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency with ERP/planning systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make effective decisions in a rapid-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Intermediate bilingual French and English communication skills.
