We are currently looking for a highly skilled Production Supervisor (Night Shift) for our Industrial Way Plant. The Production Supervisor will head or night operations working a rotating 12-hour shift which provides for work life balance and extended weekends.
Shift: 6:00pm to 6:15am with $1.00 Night Premium Per Hour
- Shifts are fixed and do not switch back and forth.
- Employees work a two-week rotating schedule with Friday, Saturday, Sunday off every second week.

Reporting to the Industrial Plant Production Manager, this role is a key component in our commitment to deliver quality products on time to our customers. Job Overview The Production Supervisor provides front-line leadership and operational oversight for PCFP’s production activities. This role is accountable for safety performance, food safety and quality compliance, team leadership, production execution, and the effective operation of assigned production areas.
The Production Supervisor plays a key leadership role in driving operational discipline, employee development, production performance, and continuous improvement while supporting PCFP’s broader operational and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Oversight
- Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, and support to production personnel
- Set shift priorities and ensure production plans are executed safely and effectively
- Delegate responsibilities appropriately and ensure clear expectations and accountability
- Support employee training, coaching, development, and performance management activities
- Recognize and develop the skills, talents, and capabilities of production employees
- Build and sustain a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement
- Ensure production employees receive appropriate job-specific, safety, food safety, and operational training
- Reinforce established SOPs, Work Instructions, and operating standards
- Identify employee training and development needs and facilitate appropriate training
- Support cross-training and development initiatives that strengthen the capabilities and flexibility of the production team
Production Operations
- Oversee the safe, efficient, and effective execution of daily manufacturing activities
- Coordinate labour, equipment, materials, and production activities to support the production schedule
- Provide technical and operational leadership to shift personnel, including production line setup, operation, testing, and troubleshooting
- Monitor production activities and take appropriate action to address production constraints, downtime, and performance issues
- Ensure production areas are maintained in a clean, organized, and operationally ready condition
- Support effective shift handovers to ensure continuity of production operations
Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and Compliance
- Champion PCFP’s Goal Zero safety culture
- Ensure employees comply with PCFP safety policies, procedures, safe work practices, and applicable occupational health and safety requirements
- Ensure production activities comply with PCFP’s Food Safety Management System, GMPs, SOPs, Work Instructions, quality requirements, and company policies
- Facilitate required safety training and reinforce safe work practices
- Complete or participate in incident, injury, and near-miss investigations, including reporting, corrective actions, and follow-up
- Identify and address safety, food safety, quality, and compliance concerns promptly and effectively
Performance Management and Continuous Improvement
- Monitor production performance against established work processes and SOPs
- Complete and maintain accurate production reports, shift documentation, and operational records
- Identify root causes of production issues and implement or support effective corrective actions
- Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve productivity and equipment utilization
- Support initiatives to improve safety, quality, food safety, productivity, efficiency, and employee engagement
- Use production information and performance data to support operational decision-making
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse & Inventory, Planning, Logistics, and other departments
- Coordinate operational requirements to support production schedules and business priorities
- Communicate production status, equipment issues, staffing concerns, quality matters, and safety concerns to appropriate stakeholders
- Represent Production in company meetings and provide relevant operational information, updates, concerns, and recommendations
- Act as a key operational contact for production-related matters during the assigned shift
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required to support PCFP operations
Qualifications
- 4th or 5th Class Power Engineer certificate preferred, or willingness to obtain it within an agreed time after hire
- Experience working with ERP systems
- HACCP, Occupational First Aid Level 1, and forklift certification are considered assets
- Minimum five years of manufacturing experience, preferably within food, beverage, agricultural processing, or a related manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in a Team Lead, Supervisor, or similar manufacturing leadership role is highly preferred
- Robust understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production operations
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, develop, and motivate employees
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety and safe work practices
- Experience working within food safety, quality, GMP, or similar regulated manufacturing systems is an asset
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and effectively resolve operational issues
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with production employees, peers, other departments, and senior management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
- Comfortable balancing hands-on operational involvement with front-line leadership responsibilities
Pay: $29.00-$32.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
