Pay: $70,000 – $95,000 per year, plus benefits

About Us

Diesel Overhead Doors supplies, installs, and services commercial and industrial overhead doors across Alberta. We work with general contractors, property managers, and business owners on everything from new construction to service and replacement. We're growing and looking for an experienced Estimator / Project Manager to run projects from bid to closeout.

What You'll Do

Estimating

- Review drawings, specs, and door schedules (Division 08) to prepare accurate quotes and bids
- Complete material and labour takeoffs for sectional, rolling steel, high-speed, fire-rated doors, dock equipment, and operators
- Get supplier pricing and put together clear, competitive proposals
- Follow up on quotes and build relationships with GCs, contractors, and end users

Project Management

- Take awarded jobs from contract to completion
- Prepare and submit shop drawings, submittals, and product data for approval
- Order materials and track lead times with manufacturers
- Coordinate install schedules with field crews and site supers
- Handle change orders, RFIs, progress billing, and holdbacks




- Make sure work meets safety standards, code requirements, and customer expectations with the support of our in house Safety Coordinator
- Handle closeout: deficiencies, O&M; manuals, warranties

What We're Looking For

- 2+ years of estimating or project management in commercial overhead doors, construction, or a related trade
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of commercial door products (sectional, rolling steel, fire doors, operators, dock equipment) is a robust asset
- Organized and able to manage several projects and bids at once
- Clear communicator with customers, suppliers, and crews
- Comfortable with Excel, email, and estimating
- Field install or service experience is a big plus to understand the industry
