About the Role
CMF Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate industrial construction, maintenance, millwrighting, rigging, structural steel installation, equipment relocation, and engineering-supported projects across the Sarnia-Lambton region and surrounding counties (London-Elgin, Chatham-Kent, and others as required).
The Project Manager will oversee projects from initiation through completion, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, customer communication, subcontractor coordination, safety compliance, and overall project execution. The successful candidate must be highly organized, capable of managing multiple concurrent projects, and committed to CMF Group's standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. CMF Group performs work across multiple industrial sectors including petrochemical, energy, automotive, manufacturing, food processing, and technology facilities.
Work Schedule
This is an hourly position with a typical schedule of:
· Monday to Friday from 7:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.
· Flexibility to support customer meetings, project requirements, shutdowns, and site activities as required.
· Periodic weekend and holiday support will be a requirement.
· Periodic travel to customer sites throughout Ontario and surrounding regions.
· Availability to support emergency work, shutdowns, and critical project milestones when necessary.
Compensation & Benefits
- Wage Rate: This is an hourly Project Manager position with eligibility for overtime. The typical journeyman Project Manager range is $51 – $61 per hour; however,
the final rate is dependent on union considerations, collective bargaining agreement (CBA) provisions (if applicable to the individual), job classification, and applicable customer-site requirements. Compensation will be confirmed based on experience, qualifications, and alignment with CBA wage structures where required. Individual Union membership is not a requirement.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution
· Lead industrial construction, maintenance, millwrighting, rigging, steel erection, and equipment relocation projects from initiation through closeout.
· Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, labour forecasts, and resource requirements.
· Coordinate field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, equipment, and materials.
· Monitor project performance, productivity, costs, and schedules; implement corrective actions as needed.
· Manage project documentation including quotations, change orders, RFIs, schedules, progress reports, and customer communications.
· Ensure all work complies with customer requirements, project specifications, CMF standards, and applicable regulations.
Customer & Operational Support
· Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers and projects.
· Build and maintain strong customer relationships; identify opportunities for additional services.
· Collaborate with estimating, operations, supervision, and field personnel to ensure seamless project delivery.
· Participate in site meetings, shutdown planning sessions, and customer reviews.
· Support business development through customer engagement and project planning.
Safety, Quality & Leadership
· Promote and uphold CMF Group's safety culture and compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
· Conduct project reviews, site visits, and safety meetings as required.
· Ensure company quality standards and customer expectations are consistently achieved.
· Provide leadership, guidance, and support to field supervision and crews.
· Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout project execution.
Qualifications & Expectations
· Minimum 2 years of Project Management experience in industrial construction, maintenance, millwrighting, machinery installation, rigging, or structural steel work.
· Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and resource planning.
· Experience managing projects in petrochemical, energy, manufacturing, or similar industrial environments.
· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, equipment layouts, and project specifications.
· Strong understanding of Rotating Equipment, Automation, product conveyance, process equipment, and machinery rigging and Installation will have tremendous value in this role.
· Strong understanding of Structrual Steel fabrication and Instalation is considered a valuable attribute.
· Strong communication, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
· Valid Ontario Class G Driver's License and ability to travel to project sites.
· PMP designation or engineering background strongly preferred.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
· Qualified, reliable, and committed to safe work practices.
