PSW - Overnight (Relief Support)

Looking for a PSW for overnight supporting a woman in her 70s who lives at home and requires both walking assistance and personal care.

Ideal candidate

-kind and attentive

-able to notice small changes in behaviour

-light sleeper

-responsible and prone to quick thinking

-timely and reliable

-driver's license and ability to drive

-able to provide toileting assistance when needed

-knowledge of incontinence

-experience or willingness to learn about occasional seizures

-doesn't mind waking up in the middle of the night

-available and willing to go to the hospital in the event of an emergency (could be in Saint John, depending on time of night)

-some lifting required (primarily uses Hoyer Lift)

The overnight shift is from 8:30pm-8am (sometimes to 8:30am). There is not a set number of shifts per week - all available shifts will be sent out via text. They usually open up to cover other workers vacation and sick time. Other daytime and evening relief shifts are available as well.
