Quality Technician

Innocore™ is a leading manufacturer of disinfectant wipes for the away-from-home market. As a growing company, we are looking for a Quality Technician to join our Production team.

As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for quality and testing within our Woodstock facility, performing inspections, laboratory testing and documentation to ensure raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods meet quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. This is a great opportunity for someone with a high attention to detail to be able to move to a consistent 4-day work week. Role Responsibilities:

- Take samples and perform routine inspections and testing of incoming materials, in-process items, and finished products according to established procedures, test methods, and specifications
- Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments, and prepare formulas, mixtures, and dilutions as needed
- Interpret and report test results against specifications and control limits, investigate questionable results, and make recommendations on release
- Identify, segregate, and report nonconforming or defective materials, and conduct inspections at various stages of production to catch defects or deviations
- Participate in investigations of out-of-specification results, deviations, product holds, nonconformances, and CAPAs, supporting root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions




- Accurately document results and maintain batch records, logs, retain samples, COAs, and other quality records
- Maintain and update SOPs, work instructions, and test methods to ensure compliance with cGMP, regulatory, and customer-specific requirements
- Support production with two-party verifications (e.g., lot number, cleaning, label, and bag control), preventative maintenance, and calibration, and assist with physical releases of batches and finished goods
- Communicate quality issues and required changes clearly to Quality, Production, and other teams, and coordinate testing with contract laboratories and vendors as needed
- Support internal and external audits and inspections, track and report key quality metrics, and contribute to QMS and management review requirements
- Train and learn lab procedures and methods, keep the lab and work areas clean and organized, and contribute ideas for process improvement and compliance updates
- Perform other duties of the quality department and quality control checks as required

Skills:

- High attention to detail, with the ability to identify defects, damage, or nonconforming material
- Ability to follow strict operating procedures,



work instructions, and SOPs
- Solid problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
- Ability to use basic measuring and inspection tools (gauges, scales, thermometers) and laboratory equipment, with math skills to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret graphs
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Capacity to work individually, as well as part of a team, with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word) and quality management software, and the capability to adapt to recent technologies
- Dedication to safety measures and best practices, with the ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education or technical training in a quality discipline, chemistry, or a related field is an asset
- 1-3 years of quality control or laboratory experience in a production environment with knowledge of good manufacturing practices (cGMP)
- Previous manufacturing experience is an asset
- Certifications such as Six Sigma, ASQ CQE, or CQA are a plus
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. as required
