Receptionist – Touch of Radiance

Touch of Radiance is looking for a friendly, dependable, organized, and professional Receptionist to join our team.

Our receptionist plays an significant role in the day-to-day operation of the salon. You are often the first person our clients see when they walk through the door and the first person they speak with when they call, so creating a warm and welcoming experience is a big part of this position.

Responsibilities

- Greet every client in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer phone calls, messages, and client inquiries.
- Book, confirm, reschedule, and cancel appointments accurately.
- Manage the appointment book and help fill cancellations and last-minute openings.
- Check clients in and out and process payments.
- Sell and process gift certificates and retail products.
- Answer general questions about our services, pricing, products, and promotions.
- Communicate important appointment or client information to staff.
- Keep the reception and waiting areas clean, tidy, and welcoming.
- Keep retail displays organized and restock products when necessary.
- Keep washroom clean, tidy and stocked.
- Help with laundry, light cleaning, tidying, and other salon duties during quieter times.
- Maintain client privacy and confidentiality.




- Work together with the rest of the Touch of Radiance team to help keep the salon running smoothly.

- Organized and able to multitask.
- Comfortable answering phones and using a computer/booking system.
- Professional in appearance, communication, and attitude.
- Able to stay calm and courteous when the salon is busy.
- Willing to take initiative rather than waiting to be asked what needs to be done.
- A team player who is willing to help wherever needed.

Previous receptionist, salon, or customer-service experience is an asset, but personality, reliability, professionalism, and willingness to learn are very important to us.

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24.0 per week
