Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on hi-way trucks/tractors & trailers.
- Conduct assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting of complex mechanical systems utilizing hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all repairs and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize electrical knowledge to diagnose wiring issues, sensor malfunctions, or electronic system failures on various equipment types.
- Assist in the installation of new machinery or upgrades by following detailed schematics and technical specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues early and perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
Qualifications
- Valid Red Seal certification as a Heavy Equipment Technician or equivalent recognized credential.
- Hands-on experience with automotive repair techniques applied to heavy-duty vehicles and machinery.
- Skilled in reading schematics, electrical diagrams, and mechanical blueprints for accurate troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools necessary for heavy equipment repair.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment confidently during maintenance procedures.
