Title: Regional Director, Child Care (2 Centres, Brampton to Port Elgin Region)

Location: Brampton to Port Elgin corridor (Caledon, Orangeville, Shelburne, Hanover, and surrounding areas)

Pay: C$85,000 to C$95,000 per year, plus performance bonus

Type: Full-time, permanent. This is a new position.

About us

Akal Child Care in Brampton and our sister centre in Port Elgin are part of a growing, owner-backed child care group in Ontario. We're adding centres, and we need a leader to build the team with us.

The role

You'll lead two licensed centres and coach their Centre Supervisors. You'll live in the region between Brampton and Port Elgin and visit each centre weekly. You won't be doing this alone: you'll have direct access to ownership and our shared services team for finance, bookkeeping, HR, and admin support, so you can focus on people, quality, and growth.

What you'll do

- Coach and develop two Centre Supervisors through weekly 1:1s and site visits
- Keep both centres inspection-ready under the CCEYA and Ontario Regulation 137/15
- Own enrolment, waitlists, and occupancy growth, especially in Port Elgin
- Manage budgets, CWELCC reporting, and relationships with Peel Region and the County of Bruce
- Lead hiring, retention, and staff scheduling across both sites




- Help open new centres as we grow

What you bring

- Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing
- 5+ years as a director-approved Supervisor in Ontario
- 2+ years leading multiple sites or supervising other supervisors
- Working knowledge of CWELCC funding and reporting
- Valid G licence and reliable vehicle
- Standard First Aid and CPR Level C, and a clear Vulnerable Sector Check
