Responsibilities

- Build and maintain positive and responsive relationships with each child in your care
- Apply professional knowledge of child development, learning theories and pedagogical and curriculum approaches to plan, implement, document and assess child-centred, inquiry- and play-based learning experiences
- Design and/or modify indoor and outdoor learning environments to support children’s self-regulation, independence, reasonable risk-taking, meaningful exploration and positive interactions
- Participate in the supervision, training and mentoring of students, casual employees and volunteers.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, safety standards,



and organizational policies to create a secure setting and prioritize children's health, safety and well-being
- Ensure all cleaning and sanitizing procedures are completed thoroughly and consistently
- Ensure that the environment is safe and accessible for all children and families
- Review and become familiar with Individual Support/Medical Plans concerning children’s relevant medical conditions, special needs, disabilities, allergies, medication requirements, and emergency contact information

Qualifications

- Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
- Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings.
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Standard Level C certificate
- Up-to-date immunization records

Pay: $26.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
