Work Description/Duties:

- Build and establish long term relationships with children and families
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children
- Provide a safe and nurturing workplace for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in children
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians
- Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment
- Willingness to be on child level co-learning, co-researching, and co-imagining with children throughout the day.
- Utilize computerized systems for record keeping and communication
- Daily cleaning of classrooms and set up for next day; maintaining clean space throughout the day.

Requirements:

- Time management skills to effectively plan and prioritize tasks
- Proficiency in computer skills for record keeping and communication purposes
- Strong organizational skills to maintain a well-managed classroom environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Leadership qualities to guide and inspire children in their learning journey

Applicants must provide:

- A Level 2 or 3 Certification in Early Childhood Education - required.
- Experience working with young children
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable sector search less than 6 months old
- Child intervention Record Check less than 6 months old




- First Aid from St John or Red Cross that includes the child component.
- Willingness to keep learning- Must meet annual required hours of professional learning as set by center.

Government top up paid in addition/separately from base wage as required by Gov of Alberta and as per hours spent in work duties specified by the Government of Alberta. Pay: $16.00-$18.50 per hour
