Qualifications:

· Registered Early Childhood Educator qualification preferred; diploma/degree in related field

· Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C from WHMIS approved agency

- Current successful Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Up to date immunizations
- Willingness to learn and practice self-reflective skills
- Demonstrated experience working with 0-5 years old
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience with Emergent Curriculum and the HDLH document
- Hands-on training (preferred) and transferable skills which will set you up for success now and in the future

- Highly knowledgeable in child development and what the next educational steps are

Responsibilities:





- Plan and implement an inquiry play-based quality childcare program within a warm and nurturing educational environment
- Supervise the children at all times (keeping at ratio), ensuring a safe environment
- Implement the Child Care and Early Years Act and the Mulberry Bush Child Care Centre Program Statement, Policies, Procedures and Guidelines
- Maintain a positive and consistent approach towards child guidance, compatible with the philosophies of the Mulberry Bush Child Care Centre
- Engage with parents in an open and supportive manner daily
- Assist, supervise and support students and supply staff
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and courtesy at all times
