Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)

PhysioSphere Leaside is seeking a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) to join our collaborative, evidence-informed multidisciplinary clinic.

We are particularly interested in an RMT with a solid sports medicine and orthopaedic focus, with demonstrated competency in the assessment and treatment of spinal conditions, sports injuries, persistent musculoskeletal pain, and movement-related dysfunction. Experience working with athletes and active individuals across a range of ages and levels of competition is highly valued.

The ideal candidate brings excellent clinical reasoning and manual therapy skills and understands how soft-tissue dysfunction, mobility restrictions, training load and biomechanics can contribute to pain and impaired performance. You will work collaboratively alongside physiotherapists, pelvic health physiotherapists, acupuncturists and other healthcare practitioners to provide coordinated, individualized care.

At PhysioSphere Leaside, we treat an active patient population presenting with cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine conditions; shoulder and upper-extremity injuries; hip and lower-extremity dysfunction; running and repetitive-load injuries; athletic overuse conditions; and acute and persistent musculoskeletal pain.

Your role will include comprehensive assessment and individualized massage therapy treatment, incorporating techniques such as soft-tissue and myofascial therapy, trigger-point treatment, mobility techniques, stretching, scar and fascial work, and targeted treatment of muscular restrictions that influence movement and performance.

A strong understanding of spinal and peripheral joint biomechanics,



regional interdependence, kinetic-chain dysfunction and sport-specific loading is particularly valued. We are interested in clinicians who look beyond the immediate site of pain and consider how restrictions throughout the kinetic chain may contribute to recurrent injury or impaired athletic performance.

Experience or additional education in sports massage, orthopaedics, spinal rehabilitation, chronic pain, concussion-associated cervical dysfunction, athletic recovery or high-performance sport would be considered a strong asset. Experience working with runners, dancers, gymnasts, racquet-sport athletes, field or court athletes, and strength-training populations is also welcomed.

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator who enjoys working collaboratively with physiotherapists and participating in an integrated rehabilitation model. We value practitioners who see massage therapy as an important component of a broader rehabilitation strategy — helping patients restore mobility, improve tissue capacity, optimize movement and return confidently to sport and activity.

This position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to build a strong sports medicine and orthopaedic massage therapy practice within an established multidisciplinary clinic serving the Leaside community, with excellent opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and internal referrals.

Pay: $85.00-$95.00 per hour
