Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our Central Fill Pharmacy team. In this role, you will support pharmacists in the accurate preparation, verification, packaging, and distribution of medications in a high-volume, closed-door pharmacy environment that is not open to the public. You will play a critical role in ensuring patient safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency by supporting centralized prescription processing and blister pack medication programs.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a technology-driven pharmacy setting focused on quality, accuracy, and medication adherence.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with the preparation, verification, and dispensing of prescriptions in a high-volume central fill pharmacy environment.
- Review and verify prescription information for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare, package, and quality-check compliance packaging and blister packs to ensure medication accuracy and patient safety.
- Manage medication inventory, including stock replenishment, cycle counts, expiration monitoring, and proper storage procedures.
- Operate pharmacy automation and packaging systems to support effective prescription fulfillment.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, inventory transactions, and quality assurance activities.
- Collaborate with pharmacists, healthcare providers,
and pharmacy team members to ensure timely medication delivery and continuity of care.
- Support process improvement initiatives focused on workflow efficiency, quality, and patient safety.
Qualifications & Experience
- Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the provincial regulatory body. (OCP)
- Experience in a central fill, mail-order, long-term care, or high-volume pharmacy setting preferred.
- Experience preparing and verifying blister packs, compliance packaging, or multi-dose packaging is an asset.
- Strong understanding of prescription processing, pharmacy operations, and medication safety practices.
- Experience with pharmacy automation technology and inventory management systems preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to quality assurance, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.

Pay: $21.00-$35.00 per hour
