Overview
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives. Duties
- Deliver comprehensive patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions tailored to individual needs.
- Administer medications accurately and safely, following established protocols and medical orders.
- Perform clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, wound care, and pain management to support patient recovery and comfort.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition, ensuring swift intervention when necessary.
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and progress using electronic health records systems like Epic or Cerner.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and update personalized care plans.
- Assist with specialized care areas including dementia care, hospice support, pediatrics,
assisted living environments, and home care services.
- Support case management activities by coordinating services and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Contribute to a protected environment through infection control practices and adherence to safety protocols in all clinical activities.
Skills
- Proven experience working in nursing homes, hospitals (including acute care), or assisted living facilities.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and laboratory techniques such as phlebotomy.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations including seniors, children, and hospice patients.
- Experience in dementia care, pain management, case management, and home care settings is highly desirable.
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare team members while demonstrating compassion and professionalism.
- Knowledge of nursing practices related to assisted living environments and senior care programs.
