Qualifications
MINIMUM FORMAL EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- University degree in related field, including laboratory analysis techniques, is required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous research experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Positive Clinical Practice guidelines, PHIA and the Tri-Council Policy Statement on Research is preferred.
- Knowledge of research protocols and methodologies is preferred.
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English are required.
- Proficient in English (written and oral) is required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team is required.
- Demonstrated time management skills and the ability to multi-task are required.
- Knowledge of computer software and proficient use of Microsoft Office, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel is required.
- Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
- Satisfactory clearance of criminal records and child abuse registry checks is required.
Key responsibilities
- Completion of RITHIM, Impact committees and Health Canada applications and coordination of site submissions.
- Maintains regulatory documents.
- Ensures compliance with ICH-GCP,
Tri-council (TCPS2), FIPPA/PHIA, Health Canada Division 5 and other regulatory requirements and related institutional policies in the conduct of clinical studies.
- Efficiently manages the day-to-day tasks of assigned research projects including maintenance of research charts.
- Helps with monitoring visits, data collections, and other related tasks.
- Liaises with the various departments to facilitate interaction and communications between the appropriate individuals and other departments to support research activities.
- Collaborates closely with other research staff.
- Provides general back up support to other team members when required.
- Adheres to all safety and health policies, regulations and safe work practices.
- Assists with other related projects and duties as assigned.
